Discrimination
The Family Policy Institute of WA (FPIW) works with its national partners, Focus on the Family, the Family Research Council and the Alliance Defense Fund on issues that are important to families in WA State.
Over the past year, several measures have been passed into state law that set the stage for people of faith, members of the religious community and concerned citizens to be discriminated against because of their beliefs about God, family and government.
Recently, with the successful gathering of signatures associated with the R-71 campaign, we are aware of people in our community receiving death threats and/or being harassed and intimidated.
Here at the FPIW, we have set up this section of the website for you to report instances where you or your property has been threatened, damaged or discriminated against because of your support of traditional marriage or other pro-family values.
Another area where discrimination against people of faith is rampant is in the education field. Over the past 3 years, news reports of young people who are denied the right to speak up on social issues, hold Bible studies on campus or even wear clothes with religious text has exploded.
As we enter into a new age of increased moral relativism combined with the exponential growth of secular atheism, families in WA State need an advocate who will investigate, defend, promote and protect the right for religious people to have and express opinions in our society.
Please email us at info@fpiw.org and include your name, contact info and detailed description of circumstances or scenarios that you been involved with that have violated your rights as a citizen. We at the FPIW, with our friends at the Alliance Defense Fund will vigorously defend your right to free speech and your right to be involved in this great democracy.
